I've built 2 homes in Costa Rica and can help you navigate Costa Rica real estate
I have owned the Viento Lindo and La Gata farms for 19 years, but finally decided to build my retirement dream home on the Viento Lindo farm a few years ago, and just completed it in the spring of 2025. However, family and health concerns have caused me to realize that the farms need to be sold. Both farms have additional building spots.
I currently reside in Colorado and manage the National Buyers Agents Association, the Colorado Buyers Agents association, and the Massachusetts Association of Buyer Agents. I typically go down to Costa Rica a couple of times a year to visit my properties and soak up the warmth of both the environment & the wonderful people there. Click here to book a consultation time.
If I have an accepted offer on the Viento Lindo farm, I'm open to discussing your option of helping you build your own custom home on one of the other 3 building spots on this 20 hectare farm with my trusted Tico contractor. The buyer could live in the current Viento Lindo farmhouse while a new house is being built. Alternatively, if we have an owner-carry arrangement, I'd be open to renting the Viento Lindo home.
I'm a licensed real estate broker here in the US. My experience is mostly in buyer agent association administration, but because I've hired contractors (design-build) to build homes for me in Costa Rica, I have some understanding of the process.
Buying the land and building a home on the La Gata property itself is also an excellent option. The price will be reduced if you decide to work with Vector, the company that built the Viento Lindo modern farmhouse.
